Tiffany Kuehl, SHRM-CP, PHR is an HR professional with over 18 years experience and has worked in hospitality, non-profit, financial services and manufacturing industries in roles focused on talent acquisition, talent management and employee development. In addition to her day job, Tiffany currently serves as the Past President of the Twin Cities Human Resource Association (TCHRA), an affiliate chapter of SHRM, Director-Elect of the MN SHRM State Council and is a member of the Minnesota Recruiters Advisory Board. Whether in multilingual neighborhoods or on college campuses filled with people from all walks of life, many of us have experienced aspects of diversity in our everyday lives. So what makes diversity so complex? It’s that we all have different definitions or interpretations of the concept. While some of us don’t think we are biased at all, we all operate with both unconscious and conscious biases that impact the decisions we make about others.
