Bio:
Robert Smith, Ph.D, is the President of ACA. He is also a professor in and chair of the Department of Counseling and Educational Psychology at Texas A&M University – Corpus Christi. His research includes close to 100 refereed articles and book chapters and eight manuscripts on integration of theory and practice in substance abuse counseling and supervision, efficacy of developmental achievement motivation programs, and research focusing on graduate program pedagogy and family systems. Currently, Smith instructs master’s and doctoral level counseling courses Current research includes addressing the need to facilitate children and adolescents’ interest in STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering and Math) studies and careers.
