Job Openings Trend Upward, Break 5 Million

Job opportunities for U.S. workers continue to improve, according to a recently released report from the U.S. Bureau of Labor Statistics (BLS).

The BLS Job Openings and Labor Turnover Survey revealed there were 5 million job openings at the end of December 2014, up from 4.8 million the previous month.

GOP Resurrects National E-Verify Mandate

Class Action over Final Wages Paid on ATM Card Settled for $1M

A class action against PetSmart over its payment of final wages in the form of an ATM card that charged a fee when used reportedly settled for $1 million in January 2015 in the U.S. District Court for the Central District of California.

OSHA Rejects Arizona’s Residential Fall Protection Standards

Arizona residential contractors are now required to ensure fall protection for homebuilders engaged in construction activities six feet or more above the ground instead of the 15-foot standard enacted into state law in 2012.

Exception to Firearms Policy Made
