I was reading an article that appeared in an online newspaper called Vox. The article, I spoke to hundreds of American men who still can’t find work, written by Andrew L. Yarrow, took the tack that many men are unemployed because of “society.” As I read the article example after example talked about men who had made bad decisions in their lives and were making little attempt to alter those decisions.
Last month’s Forté Foundation, #PowerUp Conference hosted in Atlanta is still on my mind. Inspiring women as incoming MBA’s were the primary audience. They were each eager for a re-start of their educational journey. Their stories and dreams will set a new standard. Many of you are still on a high from the #SHRM 18 event. I lived vicariously through the posts of your time in Chicago, the re-unions and the new found friends.
Attending the 2018 NYC SHRM Conference on April 27th, 2018 was a great experience. The conference concentrated on three-core elements, Focus –Align – Transform. HR was surely at its best! This was an event that certainly was not worth missing and definitely improved us professionally.

As I sat down, my little girl came up to me and said, “Mommy, I am hungry and I want a snack!” That’s when it hit me! This little girl means the world to me.
