#SHRM19 Interview with Crown Mobility

This 2019 SHRM Annual Conference & Exposition interview is with Crown World Mobility, a domestic and international relocation firm.  Below is a quick Q&A with Robert Leotti, the VP of Business Development for North America.

Who is Crown World Mobility!? Tell us everything, just as you would someone approaching your booth and asking you this question at SHRM ‘19 in Las Vegas. Crown is a Global company itself - so how do you utilize your own processes to effectively work globally?

Crown World Mobility helps organizations relocate their employees both domestically and internationally; there’s no company too large or small for us. We deliver simple, single-service engagements to complex, fully outsourced solutions.

As a global company, we focus on a centralized global management model with local expertise to best serve our clients. Additionally, Crown leverages its global footprint to provide best-in-class service and a single point of coordination for companies we work with.

What are the biggest challenges companies face when relocating their employees? How do they overcome those challenges?

Relocating an entire company certainly comes with a series of challenges, but they are manageable and can be overcome by partnering with the right relocation company. One that has a track record of success that is similar to what the need is. Some of the challenges are balancing the employee experience with cost containment, corporate talent-retention goals, providing choices and, in the end, offering innovative yet meaningful solutions.

We draw on more than 50 years of experience to support businesses and help them overcome the challenges of mobility. For example, each practice within our business is led by experts who have the insight to help solve unique challenges and anticipate how mobility may change or further develop in the future.

What do you wish more HR professionals and recruiters knew about your solutions?

Human resources professionals play a vital role in relocations, especially in the case of a group move, so it’s imperative that they’re involved from the start working closely with their senior management.

For the unfamiliar, I would say that Crown World Mobility offers proven solutions and flexibility. We help HR provide flexible, in-house solutions by listening to their objectives and being empathetic to the employees. We’re a partner and an experienced resource.

Crown is dedicated to its global CSR initiative. How do you prioritize giving back to the community amid other responsibilities?

Crown has a long and proud history of supporting many worthwhile causes throughout the communities we work and live in. Giving back to our communities is a part of our company values, and our employees are committed to volunteering their time to help make a positive impact. We also support our employees volunteer initiatives by allocating two paid days per year for them to participate in philanthropic causes and activities. Because Crown is a global company, we draw on our global presence to give back on a worldwide level.

For anyone who won’t be able to make it to the Crown booth in Las Vegas, what do you want them to know?

Crown is a partner that can assist you in planning and accomplishing your mobility goals, regardless of the size of your organization, its challenges or locations. Crown has a presence in nearly 50 countries and that provides our mobility teams with a unique perspective on managing talent and mobility on a global scale. This is important because Crown understands local customs, cultures and trends and help to serve our clients and their employees in the best possible way.

When you work with Crown, you’re getting an entire team of experts with decades of experience that can help your organization overcome its mobility challenges. We hope to see you in San Diego next year!
