#SHRM14 HR Motivators: Greg Low

We Know Next is finding and interviewing HR Motivators at the SHRM 2014 Annual Conference & Exposition.  Below is a Q&A with HR young professional Greg Low.

Q.  What inspires you as an HR professional?

The constant change and need to adapt and grow to a diverse workforce and environment inspire me about the HR profession.  It keeps me on my toes and pushes me to personally transform as well!

Q.  How do you think HR can positively affect the culture at their organizations?

I think that HR can positively effect a culture of their organization by striving to provide that employment experience that satisfies yet invigorates employees to work at their best.  Focusing on this experience can help drive results while accomplishing goals and objectives.

Q.  What do you love most about your job?

I really love partnering and providing guidance to help my people managers with their HR matters.  There's nothing more satisfying than helping build, develop and see groups work together toward a common goal and providing a great employment experience.

Q.  What changes and innovations do you see in HR’s future?

The changes and innovations I see in HR future are the increasing intersection between HR, technology, and real estate.  As we build workplaces to adapt to the diverse styles of productive working environments, the developments are endless.

Q. What advice would you give to people who would like to work in the HR profession?

Explore and challenge yourself to build relationships and connect with people at every level.  You never know who in your network you may want to reach out to for your next step!
