SHRM Staff Recommendations for #SHRM16 in DC – Part 5

Once the sun goes down and all the buildings light up, Washington, DC turns into a pretty magical place. For Liz Lacey, a Corporate Partnership Specialist at SHRM, that’s when the monuments are the most breathtaking. Don’t believe her? Experience it for yourself by taking a night tour! Trust us, you’ll want to rest your feet after walking full day at #SHRM16, so hop right on a trolley or bus to get the full experience and learn more about our city’s fascinating history.

If you’re a foodie and/or shopaholic, you’ll fall in love with Georgetown and never want to leave. M Street, also known as one of the best shopping streets in the country, offers a wide variety of retailers, restaurants, and cafes, and it is also home to the famous Georgetown Cupcake. Walk a little further down and you’ll come across one of Georgetown’s main attractions, the Georgetown Waterfront Park. And if you come here on a Wednesday, you’ll be able to take part in Sunset Fitness in the Park, a free series of outdoor fitness classes (you know, for after the cupcakes)!

#SHRM16 is less than a week away! Register now at annual.shrm.org
