SHRM Staff Recommendations for #SHRM16 in D.C. – Part 3

Having some trouble writing out your to-do list for #SHRM16? Kristine Hofmann, a Business Operations Specialist at SHRM, has got you covered.

First thing to add to the list is eating at one of Kristine’s favorite restaurants, The Source. It is an Asian Fusion restaurant by Wolfgang Puck that now offers a custom designed hot pot table and a special chef’s tasting menu counter. And apparently a lot of people in D.C. agree with Kristine, because The Source was ranked #3 on Washingtonian Magazine’s “Top 100 Restaurants!”

Next is shopping at the City Center, just a quick walk from the Convention Center home of #SHRM16. Here you can enjoy high-end shopping at luxury retailers such as  Kate Spade, Jo Malone, Burberry, David Yurman, Dior, Gucci, and Louis Vuitton, just to name a few!

And, lastly, now that you’ve expanded your tummy and your credit card bill, you can also expand your mind at the largest library in the world, the Library of Congress. Take a guided tour around the Jefferson Building and visit the exhibits. It’s a unique experience and a special place for Kristine because she was able to do research for her senior thesis there!

So, there you have it. Three worthwhile adventures for when you visit Washington, D.C. But only if you’ve registered for #SHRM16! If you haven’t already done so, don’t miss out on the fun and register today at annual.shrm.org.
