Because they had well-established policies and practices in place, many employers believed they had adequately addressed sexual harassment in their workplace. But a series of high-profile harassment allegations against leading figures in entertainment, the media, business and politics has served as a wakeup call for HR professionals, senior leaders, company shareholders and customers alike. They are not asking "Where do we start?" but rather "What more can we do?"
In this program, Victoria Lipnic, acting chair of the EEOC, and Jonathan A. Segal, a partner at Duane Morris, contributor to HR Magazine and monthly contributor to the SHRM Blog, will attempt to answer that question. Based on the findings of an exhaustive study by the EEOC's Select Task Force on Harassment, this program will examine how employers in all industries can step up their training and policies to prevent harassment at all levels of the organization. Lipnic and Segal will discuss how to engage company leaders in harassment prevention and how to react when allegations of harassment arise, regardless of who within (or outside) the organization the charges are levied against.
Make plans to attend this program so that you can answer senior leaders when they ask, "What should we be doing now?"
