#Nextchat: #SHRM17 Bloggers Are ‘All In’—In Real Life

Are you ready to go “all in” on your HR education?

The SHRM 2017 Annual Conference & Exposition is fast approaching, and whether you’re a first-time or seasoned attendee, there will be something for everyone at this year’s event. This year’s theme is All In, and there’s no better place than #SHRM17 to learn about all the latest trends and innovations in HR.

As thousands of HR professionals and exposition vendors make plans to travel to New Orleans, La.,, from June 18-21, SHRM will be working around the clock to prepare yet another amazing experience for attendees.

It’s difficult to describe the excitement and electricity generated by the thousands of HR pros who attend each year.

Maybe it’s the dynamic speakers, the compelling content or the innovative solutions offered in the Exposition Hall, or maybe it’s about reunions with friends from past conferences and meeting Twitter connections “in real life” for the first time. One thing’s for sure: Not only is it a magnificent HR conference, it’s a celebration of the human resources profession.

For many attendees, the SHRM Annual Conference & Exposition is a four-day hiatus from life in the workplace trenches where they can network with other HR professionals who understand their challenges and can offer advice or a different perspective.

So what’s the secret to making the most of your experience at a SHRM Annual Conference?

In his blog post My #SHRM17 To-Do List, #SHRM17 Blogger Paul Hebert outlines his goals for attending. “Everyone has a different reason for attending SHRM,” Hebert says. “For some it’s to stay up on new ideas. Others, it’s about connecting and networking. For me it is a little of column A and a little of column B. I have an obligation to the team to cover as much as I can, but I also have some personal things I’d like to scope out while wearing down the shoe leather.”

We’ve reached out to all the members of the official #SHRM17 Blogger Team—who have attended and covered past conferences—to join us at 3 p.m. ET on March 22 for #Nextchat: #SHRM17 All In—In Real Life!
