On June 17, more than 16,000 attendees will gather at McCormick Place in Chicago for four days of learning, sharing and networking at the SHRM 2018 Annual Conference & Exposition.
This year’s theme is “Expand Your World,” and the pathways to expanding your world at this year’s conference are unlimited!
The SHRM18 conference is a “marketplace” packed with sessions and solutions for every issue that HR is facing in the new world of work. Whether it’s using artificial intelligence for recruiting, global cross-cultural competency, workplace wellness or managing compliance, #SHRM18 will deliver the most up-to-date information in an environment where HR professionals can create valuable connections that will last throughout their careers.
Letty Kluttz, SHRM’s director of conference programming, is one of the behind-the-scenes “rock stars” who make it all happen. In an interview for SHRM18, Kluttz said, “I want to make sure that the educational experience provides our attendees with the tools and information that will allow them to be more effective in their day-to-day jobs. I also want to provide an amazing experience. I want people to leave inspired, so what keeps me up at night is how to take this huge conference and make it personal for every single one of our 16,000 attendees.”
She also offered several suggestions for first-time attendees. “I would take the time to read and participate in the conference community—this is a great resource to get questions answered ahead of time as well as connect with other attendees,” Kluttz said.
