#Nextchat: Advice for the Next Generation of HR


Ready or not—here they come! Graduates of the Class of 2016 are ready to enter the workforce and will be preparing to start their careers over the next several months.

Many new grads have chosen the human resources profession, one of the most in-demand fields for 2016, and have questions about what they can expect, and what it will take, to achieve success in their new roles.

Tips and advice from other practicing HR professionals—at every level of their careers—are always helpful to ensure a smooth transition. The guidance is even more meaningful when given by other young professionals who have recently experienced the transition themselves. 

SHRM's HR Young Professionals (YP) group is a foundation for SHRM's professional members (ages 30 and under) that provides resources and educational opportunities relevant to today’s young HR professionals. The SHRM YP group endeavors to build a community for the next generation of HR leadership through social media interaction and in-person networking activities.
