Hello, Happy 4th of July!
Can anyone share their strategies or point me to resources on how to get more Veterans, people with disabilities and certain groups of minorities to apply for our positions? We are a medical research institute and most of our positions require degrees in biological sciences. We established a relationship with a local Veterans rep, but it didn't produce significant results, as most of the Veterans in the local applicant pool don't have the required education and/or experience to perform the duties in our research labs.
We also have a goal to recruit more Hispanic candidates and people with disabilities and we are seeking advice on how to target our recruitment efforts to get those candidates to apply.
If there have been previous insightful discussions on this topic, please kindly point me to them.
