HR Tech heads to Vegas

Human Resource Executive’s (HRE) 17th Annual Technology Conference & Exposition is touted as the must-attend event for HR technology professionals and, for the first time ever, the Society for Human Resource Management (SHRM) will have two bloggers in attendance.

For the second year in a row, thousands of human resource professionals are expected in Vegas for the conference, Oct. 7-10, at the Mandalay Bay Resort and Casino. This time, however, yours truly will be there along with Mary Kaylor, of SHRM’s We Know Next, the pre-eminent resource for business executives, human resource leaders and policymakers.

From the evolution of personal mobile computing and how it is impacting recruiting to how smart machines are disrupting the workplace, there are dozens of sessions on the latest in HR technology and strategy. I always look forward to this conference each year (and not just because it’s in Vegas) because some of the brightest minds in human resource technology will be on hand to share ideas and impart their wisdom for HR technology practitioners on a wide-range of topics. This conference also informs my coverage of technology in the months to come.

Looking for what to expect during the HR Tech conference? Take a look at these tips from Steve Boese, the conference’s co-chair. And if you’re looking for a conference guide, Jessica Miller-Merrell has one here.

I’ll be blogging in this space during the conference and We Know Next will as well. You can follow my tweets here and We Know Next’s tweets here. The conference's hashtag is #HRTechConf.

The SHRM Blog does not accept solicitation for guest posts.
