Did you miss the best SHRM party last night?

The SHRM Young Professional Advisory Council (YPAC) successfully hosted over 200 HR YP’s for a networking party at Luxor Hotel & Casino Las Vegas. It was a blast!

Jeromy Manke (@JeromyManke) kicked off the evening with a welcome to our esteemed guests. The greeting included an introduction of the YPAC, Nevada State SHRM Council, and an honored acknowledgement from Elissa O’Brien, VP, SHRM Membership (@obrien_elissa).

An evening filled with music, drinks, hors d’oeuvres and making connections (and memories) that will last a lifetime. I was personally blown away by the amount of experience and exposure that my HR counterparts have had. I will never forget one female that I spoke with—a small but mighty department of one. At first glance, you would think her baby face was the ticket to her obtaining buy-in from her senior leadership; however, through our conversation I found her energy and passion for HR very motivational. This trend continued on as I met more individuals throughout the evening. These persons are not the future of HR, they are #HRToday!

Kudos to my team for a job well done!

Jeromy Manke (Strategic HR Partners, LLC.), Chris Stewart (McDonald’s Co), Kelsey Esquinas (Faurecia Emissions Control Technologies) and Catherine Preim (Systra USA).

A special “Thank You” to our fearless leader, Nancy Conway, SHRM Field Services Director (@SHRMNancyConway). This event would not have been possible without her cheerleading and guidance.

I would also like to thank the Nevada SHRM Young Professionals for their partnership. This event would not have been possible without their coordination and sponsorship efforts.  Josh Grace (@joshgrace86), Megan Barrenchea (@mbarrenchea), Anastasia Franco, Christina Nishiyama (@ChristinaNish), Whitney Seifman (@whitclee), Lindsay Meyers, Eddie Iniguez, Dani Goodrum and Chris Jones.
