Make BIG PLANS for #SHRM18.
Do not settle into your comfort zone. Do not chart a course for the familiar. Push yourself to see and experience something greater.
Open your mind to new ways of thinking, new approaches, different perspectives. Turn questions into answers. Turn hopes into plans. Turn strangers into friends.
“Make big plans; aim high in hope and work, remembering that a noble diagram once recorded will not die” – Daniel Burnham, Plan of Chicago
The time we spend in Chicago is fleeting and far too important to be left to coincidence, to be left to default. EXPAND YOUR WORLD is more than a conference theme, it’s a call to action. In today’s world, we must answer that call.
We must be leaders in our communities and our organizations, from whatever position we hold because the work we do is too important to be left to chance. We must see people, truly and wholly, for the humans they are and not for the jobs they hold.
We must lift one another up, because 15,000 people, arms linked, marching together forward cannot be denied.
We must seize every opportunity during and after #SHRM18 to change ourselves, to lead change, and to help others BE change. SHRM may hold its conference every year, but there will only ever be one #SHRM18. There will only be this one set of opportunities, at this one point in time, at this one intersection in your personal and professional life.
Make BIG PLANS for #SHRM18.
Do not settle into your comfort zone. Do not chart a course for the familiar. Push yourself to BE something greater.
EXPAND YOUR WORLD.
