This is why SHRM is excited to launch two new competency-based certifications for the HR profession: the SHRM Certified Professional (SHRM-CP) and SHRM Senior Certified Professional (SHRM-SCP). These certifications are focused on teaching and testing the practical, real-life leadership behaviors and competencies—such as business acumen, communication and critical evaluation—you need to excel in your career and drive business outcomes today.

Since launch last week, nearly 10,000 HR professionals achieved their SHRM certification through our online tutorial, taking an exciting new pathway to develop their competencies as HR business leaders. Several hundred immediately registered to take the new SHRM certification exams this summer. I invite you to be among the growing number of those certified by SHRM.
