Who is US Drug Test Centers!? Tell us everything, just as you would someone approaching your booth and asking you this question at #SHRM19 in Las Vegas.
We are a nationwide drug & alcohol testing company with corporate headquarters located in Las Vegas, NV. Our mission is to help people be safe in the workplace. We assist employers in creating a drug free workplace by implementing drug testing policies and helping the companies to stay in compliance. This is achieved by giving them access to over 20,000 plus testing locations nationwide, a dedicated account representative to help them navigate the process. Each of these items will lead to reduced liability and much more!
Let us in on the magic. What’s the drug test process like at your company? Do you utilize your own processes to ensure your employees are fit for work?
We provide consultations with companies on which types of drug & alcohol testing programs are best for their company. We create a unique program for each company and allow them the convenience of being able to use any one of our 20,000 plus collection sites nationwide. We stand behind our core values, which is why we also utilize these programs with our employees.
What are the biggest challenges companies face when testing their employees? How do they overcome those challenges?
Some of the biggest challenges they face are not having a drug free workplace policy manual. By not having a system in place which clearly states the policies as it relates to drug and/or alcohol use, causes a strain for them on when/who they can and can’t drug test. For example, if you do not explain your random drug testing policies in a manual and give all employees access to it, you should not be doing any random drug testing to avoid lawsuits. Some other challenges are also when companies do not know their specific drug & alcohol testing laws in their state and end up going against them. With U.S. Drug Test Centers, we guide our companies step by step so nothing is missed and to ensure that they are staying within compliance.
What do you wish more HR professionals and recruiters knew about drug tests?
I wish more HR professionals knew about the State laws, and the importance of a drug free workplace policy & the protection it gives the company against some lawsuit actions.
