Omari Faulkner is a trailblazing Strategist, Business Developer, Sports & Cultural Diplomacy Expert, and Public Affairs Officer in the U.S. Navy Reserves. Mr. Faulkner leads human capital investment, strategic communications, organizational diversity, corporate social responsibility, workforce development, and strategic company investments for multinational companies.
Mr. Faulkner attended Georgetown University, where he was a member of the men’s basketball team. After graduating from Georgetown, he served the Department of State in multiple capacities including Sports & Cultural Envoy, Financial Management Officer, and Human Resource Officer. His exemplary service in these roles has earned him national recognition and prestigious distinctions around the world. His experiences at Georgetown and the State Department propelled his passion for education and sports & cultural diplomacy.
Today, he is an adjunct faculty member at Georgetown University teaching master level courses focused on sports leadership development, and he was recently honored with the Georgetown Excellence in Teaching Award. As a trustee of the Loudoun Education Foundation, Mr. Faulkner continues to drive out his dedicated passion for education. He remains attuned to the landscape of education and is driven to developing the leadership capacity of students, parents, and administrators.
In 2014, he founded O Street International, a non-profit organization missioned to support cultural, educational, and social responsibility diplomacy programs focused on both global and domestic scales.
Combining his experience as a global sports envoy and leading advocate for education, Mr. Faulkner’s recent book, Athlete for Life, provides a framework for a new student athlete’s development and equips student athletes with a blueprint for success. With an unwavering belief that success and service are synonymous, Mr. Faulkner knows firsthand that the game of life determines a legacy.
Born in Memphis, Tennessee, he and his family have planted roots in Western Loudoun County Virginia.
