Daily frustration is not fun.  Poor Mr. Wilson. In the comics, young Dennis would frustrate Mr. Wilson with his harebrained ideas and incessant bantering. Often Mr. Wilson would be screaming for Dennis to leave him alone, to leave his property, to leave the planet. And yet, in about an hour, Dennis would be back to torment.  Oh, the innocence of youth.

So, another year down and another begins.  Big deal.  Isn’t it just another day?  Can’t I just make my mind up to be something more and someone better on any other day of the year?  Well, yes.

SHRM was the voice of HR during both the Democratic and Republican National Conventions and was joined by hundreds of our members in each city. Each day this week, a SHRM member will tell their story about attending the political conventions!

Attending the Democratic National Convention reminded me that our ability to have impact is real and vital
